Got myself a little present today, courtesy of the very brief restock. I like my green Alpinist so much I had to have the blue one as well. Tan leather band on the way.
What’s on your wrist on this fine autumn Friday?

All $15 of it. Some how it tickles my fancy more than 80% of watches. Most, like yours, just seem to complicated. I like this cause I can put it on the lathe or the Bridgeport table a nd look at it and not worry. Will upgrade to something once I find something I like.
Ignore my foot.

Black faced Seiko 5 here.
I too would like to expand my Seiko selection to a blue faced and greed faced examples, but at this moment, I have other things higher on the priority list. (I have been to six pawn shops today, with seven to go. But not for Seikos...I never see them in pawn shops.)

This rose gold Bulova I picked up cheap from Kohl’s years ago. I like to coordinate, the strap matches my belt and wingtips.

I always match my leathers too, because those are the rules . Uh, or wear something on a bracelet.

I don’t know if people actually notice that stuff or not, but without rules, you get chaos.

I don’t know or particularly care if anybody else would notice, because I’d know. It helps relax and focus my mind to have things like that under control.
...Also, in any context where suits are worn, clashing belt and shoes is extremely obvious.

I went from an off-brand automatic watch to a Citizen Eco-Drive (solar-charged quartz) watch that re syncs itself to time signal broadcasts every night .
The dial is a little busy with the other functions , I might become unable to read it as my close-up vision deteriorates.
I do miss listening to the tick of a mechanical watch .

I like those but you’re right. I gave my dad a similar one some years ago and then it got too hard to read for him without reading glasses. He’s been wearing a Timex Weekender since then but I’m planning to give him a similarly readable Citizen EcoDrive field watch for Christmas.
